After AIT (Advanced Individual Training) soldiers recieve their assignments. National Guard and Reservists usually know where they will be, but for those of us in the regular army, the big moment comes when you find out where you're off to next. I was hoping for something overseas. It was not to be with my first duty station, but I would be crossing the ocean soon enough.
When I saw Colorado I naturally thought one thing - Snowboarding! I grew up in Florida surfing and skateboarding and hadn't seen snow since the age of eleven. I knew I would get around to it, and I did.
